About

I was born in the birthplace of all of us – Africa.  As a child of Christian missionary parents, I lived in Rwanda, Congo, and Zimbabwe until the age of 12 when my parents returned to the USA.  I’ve lived in the Pacific Northwest, Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee.  I attended Christian schools through graduate school.  I became a social worker, learned about social justice which led me to began my travels as a seeker and pilgrim in 1990.  This little blog is my exploring and examination of life, love, faith, and how to be in this world.

“Nazuri Safari” means beautiful journey in Swahili, one of the ancient languages of my birthplace.  My hope is that pieces of my beautiful journey will speak to where you are and that we can learn from each other.
